Elmar Toime, Founder and Chairman
Mr. Toime served as CEO of New Zealand Post from 1993 to 2003 and then from 2003 to 2004 as both Executive Deputy Chairman of the Royal Mail Group and chairman of its management board. During his tenure, New Zealand Post enjoyed consistent growth and considerable diversification. In 2002 Mr. Toime supervised the establishment of a full-service retail bank, Kiwibank Ltd, as a fully owned subsidiary of New Zealand Post. He is a member of the supervisory board of the Deutsche Post DHL group, the world's leading logistics company, a non-executive director of Blackbay Ltd, a mobility solutions company, and is the director of the postal strategy consulting firm, E Toime Consulting Ltd. In 2004 he was awarded a lifetime achievement award for leadership in the postal industry. Mr. Toime currently resides in London.
Michael J. Murphy, Founder and CEO
Mr. Murphy – also a board member and investor in Trans European Distribution, and board member of Singapore Post – has more than 30 years of experience in the high-tech and financial services industries, building high-performance, distributed, transaction-oriented environments. He founded Escher Group in 1989 and grew the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company to world leadership in postal counter automation software, with clients in more than 30 countries. He holds a number of technology and design patents, and lives in New Hampshire in the United States and in Dublin, Ireland.
John Meagher, Deputy Group CEO and COO
Mr. Meagher was appointed to the role of Deputy Group CEO in March, 2012. In addition, as COO, he is responsible for organizational performance through the implementation of effective strategies in corporate and resource planning. He began his career in the oil and gas industry where he led teams that developed and implemented systems for the supply chain operations of offshore oil installation projects. He also managed large-scale, change management programs with a number of blue chip companies and government institutions. He was responsible for successfully introducing new technologies and associated support and business process changes. Mr. Meagher has an honours BSc in Technology, a Diploma in Systems Practice and is a Prince2 practitioner.
Omar Dajani, Principal
Mr. Dajani also serves as President of Postea's wholly-owned services subsidiary, The Innovations Group (IGI). Prior to joining in 2002, he was Program Manager for the United States Postal Service Engineering Department where he was responsible for the design and implementation of various retail and logistic systems. He is part of the team that holds a patent for the Automated Postal Center, the USPS self-service kiosk. He has a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from George Mason University and a Masters Degree in Engineering and Technology Management from George Washington University. He resides in Fairfax, Virginia with his wife and three children.
Alex Ludman, Executive Vice President, Intelligent Device Engineering
Mr. Ludman has been developing complex systems software with a focus on distributed transaction processing since 1992. As the Technical Director for Postea's Research Center, he is developing a number of projects, including Postea's flagship product, QubeVu®, a 3D imaging system which is in pilot at the USPS. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his family, and enjoys hockey and bicycling.
Eric Metois, Chief Science Advisor
Dr. Metois has 15 years experience as an R&D algorithm and software developer. His expertise, creativity and analytical problem skills have been used in a wide variety of applications ranging from interactive music and video games to security technologies and computer vision. He has worked with a variety of clients from small startups to Warner Brothers Records. Over the years his innovations have been the object of several patents. Dr. Metois holds a Ph.D. from the MIT Media Laboratory and an electrical engineering degree from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications in Paris.
